FL's Listening: Terry Urban and Gold Coin Clothing present Southerngold

In collaboration with Gold Coin Clothing, dj/producer extraordinaire Terry Urban has created Southerngold, an album mashing the chops of some of the dirty dirty's heaviest hitters with Santigold's debut Santogold.

I'm pretty tired of the GirlTalk-ish ADD mashups, but these full songs are really good and refreshing. Not to mention Santigold is one of my favorite female artists right now, so I can always do with more of her...

"Santigold has responded with a statement: 'Some kid just hit me up about this on MySpace. It was the first I ever heard about it. I've never heard anything about this DJ or this remix, and certainly did not send a cease and desist letter. I'm a supporter of mixtape culture and intend to get to the bottom of it.'"
